My father, Tom Trainor,
passed away peacefully at home on Friday February 17th. He died shy of 81 years
old from respiratory failure complicated by Post-Polio
Syndrome. He was a wonderful man, father, husband, and Aeronca enthusiast.
Dad spent half his life working on Aeronca K and E-113 engines. He knew more
about the K and the Aeronca engine than anybody else I know. He has owned
Aeroncas since 1953. I tried to learn as much from him as I could. I plan to
continue his legacy of helping others restore and fly the old Aeronca airplanes
and engines. Eight years ago I created the Aeronca K website, to capture my
father's knowledge and experience with the Aeronca.
If you knew my father, would you please leave note in the Aeronca K Guest Book
at
http://www.aeronca.com/k/GuestBookK/aeronca_guest_book.htm
I would like to personally invite you to his memorial service to honor his life
and in support of his surviving wife, Val Trainor, and the family. Please let me
know if you plan to attend.
