PART II - OPERATION

SECTION 11 - IDLING ADJUSTMENT

The engine should idle between 400 and 450 RPM. Any slower idling speeds may cause the engine to stall, either on the ground or in the air. This idling speed should be obtained by adjusting the throttle lever stop set screw on the carburetor and not by turning the idling jet adjustment screw on the carburetor. The carburetor has been adjusted at the factory and should not have to be readjusted in the field. However, if, due to change in climate or altitude, this must be done, see Section 3-Q, Part V - COMPLETE OVERHAUL.
