SECTION 2 - MOUNTING

The engine installation drawing (Fig. 1) shows the location of the three mounting studs - two at the bottom rear of the crankcase and one at the top rear. The method of mounting the engine is shown on the same drawing. The rubber washers used between the engine and the fuselage fittings should be of 1/8" rubber sheeting with at least one ply of fabric through the center. The rubber tubing should be of the same material. (These may be obtained from the factory.)

A typical mounting of the AERONCA engine is shown in Fig. 2. The tubes are so arranged that there will be no interference with any part of the engine or its accessories.

Beginning with AERONCA E-113A, engine Serial No. A-743, the lower mount studs have been lengthened and the fittings changed so that the mountings would be similar to the upper one. The new lower mounting fitting assembly is shown below:
