AERONCA Memo M-32

APRIL, 1939 M-32
MEMORANDUM TO OWNERS FO AERONCA MODEL "K" AIRPLANES
SUBJECT: Servicing Landing Gear
In January, 1938, we issued a Service Memorandum to all owners of the
subject model airplane advising that heavier torsion linkages would
be installed on the landing gear for $12.00. A great many Model "K"
owners took advantage of this offer. It is no longer possible for us
to do this.
To make repairs on your landing gear torsion linkage in the
field, one on the following corrective methods may be used.
      1. Reinforce the original links.
      2. Install new links formed from one
piece of 3/32 inch SAE 4130 steel
reinforcing the lugs at the large end
by gussets of the same thickness and meterial.
