This is a copy of two 1946 Aeronca promotional movies.
It was originally on 16mm film. It was eventually transferred to VHS.
The quality is fair, but the contents are very interesting. Especially if
you are interested in Aeronca history. Contains two features:
- The Aeronca You'll Want To Fly
This is a film from Aeronca promoting the Aeronca
Champion. It has many factory scenes showing the airplane being built through
all the stages from welding, to fabric covering, to final assembly. They also
show a young woman getting in and flying the Champion to the Middletown
factory. That's how easy the airplane is to fly. It is about 40 minutes
long. Its in color. It is scratchy and the color is faded in scenes, like
our old 8mm films.
- Wings of Mercy
For you Chief fans, this is a 10 minute dramatization
showing how a pre-war Aeronca Chief, configured as an air ambulance, can be
used to ferry an injured patient from an accident scene to a hospital.

Flying The Aeronca - Robert Livingston
|
|
Written in 1981 by the famous Robert Livingston, this book is
a must for all Aeronca owners. With 2000 plus hours of Aeronca flying
time, Robert has learned that all Aeronca models have common traits. He
takes you through every phase of flight of the Aeronca and makes the reader feel
comfortable in knowing the Aeronca is the right tail-dragger for them.
54-pages. This is a reprint by Robert's son, David.
